TR Gupta Trust adopts 6 Balgran students, distributes blazers to Divyangs of SKK

JAMMU, Dec 14: Continuing with its charitable initiatives, the TR Gupta Charitable Trust today adopted six destitute students of Balgran and distributed school blazers to 103 deaf & dumb students of School for Hearing Handicapped run by Samaj Kalyan Kendra (SKK).
At Balgran, Trustees–Dr Ashok Gupta, K B Jandial and Kailash Langar presented a cheque of Rs 72,000 to the president of the Balgran AK Khajuria and general secretary V K Raina. The amount was provided for the last quarter of the year and the Trust would monitor their academic progress and extend similar financial assistance next year as well.
The six children adopted belonged to destitute families of far-flung areas of Doda and Kishtwar districts and have excellent academic records. They are Vikas Sharma, Menkle Rathore & Divya of class 5th, Rohan Sharma & Vishal Raj of class 6th and Anvi of class 7th.
Speaking on the occasion, AK Khajuria expressed hoped that the assistance provided by TR Gupta Charitable Trust would go a long way in shaping the future of these children. He recalled that the chairman of the Trust T R Gupta had been helping them in the past also.
Present on the occasion included its patron AK Arora, vice president J K Gupta, treasurer Dr Shashi Kant Goswami, members of executive committee — Prof R D Sharma, Prem Gupta, S C Sharma, besides Urmil Arora (Principal), Sadhana Kachroo (Vice Principal) and Neelam Arora.
At a separate function, the Trust distributed school blazers to 103 deaf & dumb students of the School for Hearing Handicapped run by the Samaj Kalyan Kendra. TR Gupta was himself present to distribute the blazers to divyangs. Other trustees, Dr Ashok Gupta, Naresh Gupta and Kailash Langer were also present.
Treasurer M D Sharma, member B B Magotra and Principal Rohan Bhan were also present.
