MENDHAR, Dec 14: Continuing it’s drive against drug-peddlers on anti- drugs front, Poonch Police arrested a narcotic smuggler and recovered about 37 gms of heroin from his possession.
The police identified the accused as, Gulam Mustafa, son of Showkat Ali, a resident of Ucchad in Mendhar. It said the team headed by Insp Nayaz, SHO Mendhar, assisted by PSI Naveet Anjum under the supervision of SDPO, Sheezan Bhat apprehended the drug peddler from Ucchad area.
In this regard, a case FIR No. 287/2022 U/S 8/21/22 NDPS ACT has been registered at P/S Mendhar and investigation of the case has been taken up.
