JAMMU, Dec 14: Jhajjar Kotli Police today rescued 11 bovine animals being smuggled in a vehicle.
“During vehicle checking at naka point Zedda, a team of Police Station Jhajjar Kotli rounded up a suspect on a vehicle bearing registration number JK03B-8711 which was on its way from Samba towards Udhampur,” a police spokesman said.
He said on search, 11 bovine animals were found loaded in the vehicle and were rescued by the police team. “In this regard, cognizance was taken by Police Post Manwal and the vehicle seized,” the spokesman said, adding, further investigation of the case was going on.
