‘Dand Fanda’ to be held in Bhairav Temple today

JAMMU, Dec 15: The religious practice of ‘Dand Fanda’ will be performed tomorrow at ancient Kaal Bhairav Temple in Upper Bazar, Bhairav Nath Chowk, Jammu.
This was disclosed by Pandit Rumil Sharma, head priest of the Bhairav Temple, while addressing a press conference, here today . “This practice safeguards all from evil spirits and other negative aspects responsible for putting one to losses or downfall,” informed the Head Priest.
He said ‘Dand Fanda’ will be held at 6:30 PM and hundreds of devotees are expected to visit the Temple for getting ‘Dand Fanda’. He said a langar will also be arranged for the visiting devotees.
The Priest also informed that this is an annual ceremony following Kaal Bhairav Ashtami. He appealed the people of Jammu and elsewhere to visit the Kaal Bhairav temple daily or anytime to get blessings of the deity as same may prove beneficial in different ways in our lives.
