KATHUA, Dec 15: SDM, Bani, Satish Sharma today solved over a one decade old dispute on Bani -Hansa -Lawhang road and kick started the work on it.
This way a long pending demand of the people of the area was solved by the SDM Bani in close cooperation of the people Lawhang and surrounding areas. The road will connect the Lawhang, Sarthal, Bani, Bhadarwah to Lakhanpur. With its construction the tourism will get a complete boost in the area, said the prominent people present on the occasion.
The construction of the road has been a long pending demand of the people social activist Mudasar Ali said that the demand was fulfilled with the keen interest taken by SDM Bani. He said the construction of the road in turn will also add to the economy of this far flung but picturesque area besides promoting pilgrimage tourism.
The SDM on spot also laid the foundation of the road along with prominent people of the area and BRO officers who were present on the occasion.
A social activist of the area Mudasar Ali said the over one decade old dispute over the road has been resolved with the best efforts of the SDM Bani who took personnel interest in solving this issue.
SDM assured that local people will be engaged on the construction of the road and it will also be blacktopped besides the protection walls will also be constructed across the road to protect it from the damage.
