RAJOURI, Dec 16: The people of Ward No 5 in Rajouri town held protest against Jal Shakti Department today.
The protesting people blocked link road near University Road crossing, near Pahari Hostel Rajouri. The locals alleged that some people in administration were adopting corrupt practices and issued 89 pipes to an individual for his personal connection for the hand pump. The protest held for two hours and slogans were raised against Administration for failure to solve the matter.
Later, ADC Rajouri Sachin Dev Singh alongwith senior PHE officers also reached the spot and assured people for proper investigation into the matter. Locals also raised slogan against Jal Shakti department & Ground Water Division.
