Recruitment scams shattered dreams of youth: Rattan Lal

JAMMU, Dec 16: Rattan Lal Gupta, provincial president National Conference (NC), Jammu has castigated the J&K administration for creating a mess in the recruitment process by repeatedly announcing the cancellation of the exams as a result of which the unemployed youth of this terrorism infested sensitive region continue to suffer badly with a substantial number of aspirants having crossed the age bar.
He accused the Government of depriving the youth of their genuine rights forwarding lame excuses.
In a statement issued to media here, today, the senior National Conference leader made these remarks in response of the administration’s move of cancellation of Legal Assistant exam conducted in 2021and also that of junior engineers and SI exams conducted in Jammu and Kashmir. He said that the ground situation is so grim that aspiring candidates expecting the announcement of final selection lists are being informed that the entire recruitment process has been cancelled. This is no less than a bolt from blue for these aspirants with a substantial number of candidates having become over-aged, he added.
Rattan Lal Gupta said that this is yet another face of recruitment worth crores in J&K as blacklisted companies are being favoured by the administration in conducting the exams least bothering about the career of youths. He said that it is an irony that in the instant case the exam was conducted on November 13, 2021 and the aspirants were waiting to receive the joining letters but the incumbent J&K administration has shattered their dreams.
The senior NC leader said that the incompetence of the Government stands fully exposed as the entire process has been annulled and it has been announced that the posts will be re-advertised, devastating the careers of those who have become over-age in these months, he lamented. He said that this is not the first time that such a huff decision has been taken by the Government but this has happened fourth time in the series of scams as a result of which the people of J&K especially the youth have completely lost faith in the present dispensation.
