JKTJAC announces platform for seeking restoration of Old Pension Scheme

JAMMU, Dec 18: Jammu Kashmir Teachers’ Joint Action Committee (JKTJAC) today announced formation of Jammu Kashmir Movement for Old Pension Scheme” ( JKMOPS) exclusively for seeking restoration of Old Pension Scheme in favour of all employees of the UT appointed after 31.12.2009 and Benefit of SRO-43 in favour of all employees without any condition.
An announcement in this regard was made JKTJAC UT President Vinod Sharma, while addressing a press conference, here today.
Accompanied by JKTJAC executive members and District Presidents, Vinod Sharma said that JKTJAC will fully support the JKMOPS platform and sincerely fight for the most genuine cause of all the employees . He appealed all the employees of various departments to join JKMOPS and be a part to fight for the genuine issue of restoration of Old Pension Scheme and SRO-43.
On the occasion, Aftab Malik, Ashiq Jaral , Parshant Sharma and Surinder Sharma were nominated as UT Coordinators of JKMOPS who will constitute the UT level body shortly. It was also announced to hold a meeting of all the NPS employees at Jammu on 8th of January 2023 under the banner of JKMOPS and a future course of action will be announced on the same day.
During the press conference, Vinod Sharma also raised some burning issues of the teaching fraternity, which include comprehensive Transfer policy in favour of teachers appointed under ReT scheme, regularisation of left out ReTs and conversion of RRETs to Teachers Grade II/ III, DPC of Teachers to Masters, conversion of Headteachers posts into non plan posts of Masters and raising Grade of Teachers at par with their counter parts in other UTs. He appealed the LG administration to redress all the issues of the teaching fraternity at the earliest .
