TSPC for development of ancient Navdal shrine

JAMMU, Dec 18: The Temples and Shrines Prabandak Committee (TSPC) Tral Awantipur, district Pulwama has reiterated its appeal to Government that the immersion and concluding ceremony of annual Amarnath pilgrimage be held at Navdal Shrine in Tral to maintain age old tradition and Government should pay special attention for the development of this ancient shrine.
The demand was made in the Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Committee here. The general secretary of the Committee, Sunil Bhat presented the annual report, and the future agenda was put before the general body members by president, Dr Ramesh Kumar Bhat which was endorsed by the house. The Executive members were given the task for enrollment in the organization and moreover the process of selecting a place in Jammu for social and religious services will be explored and people will be approached for giving their opinions and cooperation.
Moreover, the matters already raised by the delegation with Division Commissioner, Kashmir in the month of September will be pursued and if there is need to visit Kashmir, another visit will be held in this connection.

Earlier a grand function in connection with Sri Mahakali Jayanti was held at TRT community Hall Muthi Phase 2ndby the Committee.
On the occasion a Maha Yagha was performed as usual, which started on Saptami and Puran Aahuti took place on Mahakali Jayanti. Hundreds of devotees participated in the celebrations and they were later served the Prashad.
The Geeta Satsang Ashram Muthi headed by Swami Kumar Ji provided full logistic support.
