JAMMU, Dec 19: JMC Councillor of Ward 73, Prof. (Dr.) Youdhvir Singh here today started construction work of drain at Ajit Nagar which will incur an expenditure of Rs. 9 lakh.
The Councillor got the work inaugurated by Gurcharan Kour and Harjeet Kour—elderly women of the locality in presence of large number of people prominent among whom were S. Harpiyas Singh, Social Worker, S. Raghbir Singh, Karamjeet Kour, S. Amandeep Singh and others.
The construction of drains in the area was a long pending demand of the peoples of the area.
Speaking on the occasion Prof. Singh that pace of development remained slow during two years of COVID-19 pandemic.
He assured to leave no stone unturned to come up to the expectations of Ward people and provide them best civic facilities.
The locals hailed the developments in the Ward.
