2 ReTs suspended; pay of 2 erring teachers, Master, HM withheld

UDHAMPUR, Oct 23: Chief Education Officer Udhampur today conducted a surprise visit of various schools and ordered suspension of two Rehbar-e-Taleem Teachers besides withholding salary of two regular teachers, one Master and a Head Master.
The CEO Balbir Singh suspended two ReTs Subash Chander and Kamlesh Devi who were found absent during the surprise visit at Government Primary School Pakhlai, Zone Jib.
Besides placing the duo under suspension with immediate effect, the CEO also directed ZEO Jib to frame charges against both of them and arrange a teacher from Middle School Manglian to keep PS Pakhlai functional.
Then CEO also visited Government Middle School Manglian where he found that two teachers namely Munish and Romesh were on leave without application while a Master, Bharat Bushan was shown on duty to ZEO Jib. However, on being enquired, it came to light that the said Master had not reported to ZEO Jib.
The CEO issued instruction to withhold the pay of these two erring teachers and one Master besides directing ZEO Jib to call explanation of the trio and submit report within a week.
During surprise visit to High School Pakhlai, the CEO found Head Master Ratna Devi on leave following which he ordered that leave account of the latter be submitted to him in three days besides withholding salary of the erring HM.
