Ramakrishna Mission holds 133rd AGM

JAMMU, Dec 20: The Ramakrishna Mission held its 133rd Annual General Meeting (AGM) at Belur Math in West Bengal in which Swami Suvirananda, general secretary of Ramakrishna Math and Ramakrishna Mission presented the report of the Governing Body of the working of the Association during Financial year 2021 and 2022.
He said National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) awarded A++ grade to the Belur Vidyamandira Residential College West Bengal and A+ grade to its Narendrapur Residential College, West Bengal for five years.
He said four degree colleges of the Mission secured distinguished positions in India Rankings 2021 announced by National Institute of Rank Framework (NIRF) Ministry of Education Government of India, Belur Vidyamandira Residential College West Bengal ranked 5th, Rahara Vivekananda Centenary College (West Bengal) 15th rank, Narendrapur Residential College (West Bengal) 21st rank and Coimbatore College of Arts & Sciences (Tamil Nadu) 48th rank.
He said new branches of colleges of Ramakrishna Mission were also opened in West Bengal and Assam while new branch centers of the Ramakrishna Math were started in Gujarat, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu.
He said both Ramakrishna Mission and Math through their 216 Indian branch centers and sub centers spent Rs 943.18 crore for relief and rehabilitation, general welfare, medical, education, rural development and publication of literature.
He said an affiliate of Ramakrishna Math was started in Auckland, New Zealand. Both Ramakrishna Mission and Math through their 97 affiliates and sub affiliates situated in 24 countries outside India, are engaged in preaching the philosophy of Vedanta and in rendering multifarious service activities.
