AD Handicrafts remanded to 4 day CBI custody

JAMMU, Oct 23: Special Judge Anticorruption (CBI Cases), Kaneez Fatima today granted four days CBI remand of Kewal Krishan Sharma, Assistant Director, Handicrafts, Union Ministry of Textiles, who was caught red-handed by the CBI yesterday while accepting bribe of Rs 75,000 from Chairman of a NGO.
The Assistant Director had demanded Rs 75,000 from M R Puri in lieu of Rs 10 lakh worth payment released in favour of NGO named-Mahila Grameen Hastkala Welfare Sadan, Bishnah, for a training programme organised by it at Kathua for six months for the women.
