JAMMU, Dec 21: A free medical camp was organized by NHPC, Sawalkote Hydro Electric (HE) Project under CSR at Tangar Office Complex, District Ramban.
Sawalkote HE Project (1856MW) is the largest hydropower project in J&K being developed by NHPC. A team of doctors along with a lady doctor were deputed by CMO Ramban on the instructions of DC Ramban for the camp.
The camp was inaugurated by H. Bulchandani, Group General Manager & Head of Sawalkote HE Project in the presence of D. Boral, GM(C), Senior Officials, local dignitaries and villagers.
Speaking on the occasion, Bulchandani highlighted that health is the key priority in the present scenario and the main objective of such camps being organized by NHPC is to make the local people aware of the health issues and to encourage them to lead a healthy life.
Doctors from NHPC including Dr. R.S Rathi, CMO; Dr. Pooja Gupta, Sr. DCMO; Dr. Dheeraj Sharma, Sr. DCMO; Dr. Karmvir Hans, DCMO and medical team from Govt. Medical Division, Batote, Ramban, including Dr. O.P Singh, DCMO and Dr. Deepika, Medical Officer and other para medical staff of NHPC & Govt. Medical Division, Batote, Ramban examined about 320 locals in the camp.
People were also made aware of the need to follow COVID appropriate behaviour and cleanliness practices.
