KATHUA, Dec 21: Kathua police under the overall supervision of SSP, R C Kotwal has solved a theft case by arresting two thieves and recovered stolen items i.e one I-Phone Tab, along with one Royal Enfield Motorcycle from them who were involved in the offence in the limits of Police Station (PS) Hiranagar.
On the complaint of one Rakesh Chowdhary, son of Lt. Devi Ditta of Channi Manhasa Vijaypur, district Kathua produced a written application at PS Hiranagar that during the intervening night of 10 and 11 December some unknown thieves broke the locks and entered his Royal Enfield Bullet Agency, Hiranagar and stole away One I-Phone Tab, one Royal Enfield Motorcycle along with cash amount of Rs. 25000/- approximately as well as at the same time unknown persons also broken the locks of five more shops for which a case was registered at PS Hirangar in connection with theft vide FIR No. 154/2022 U/S 457/380 IPC.
Acting on the tip off, police party led by Inspector, Sunil Sharma, SHO PS Hiranagar under the supervision of SDPO Border, Pankaj Soodan rounded up several suspects for interrogation and the police team was able to arrest one suspect namely Anil Kumar @cobra son of Romesh Kumar of Badhwal tehsil Vijaypur, district Samba.
During sustained questioning, he confessed his involvement in the theft and the police team recovered one I Phone Tab which he had concealed in an Almirah at his residence. Thereafter he disclosed the involvement of another person namely Mohit Singh Sambyal son of Goverdhan Singh Sambyal of Keli Mandi Samba who was involved with him was also arrested. Thereafter on their further disclosure one Royal Enfield Motorcycle was also recovered whereas further investigation of the case is going on and Kathua police is putting all efforts to recover remaining stolen property.
