NPP MLA visits Pak firing affected villages

SAMBA, Oct 24: MLA Samba, Yashpal Kundal from National Panthers Party paid visit to several border villages in Samba, Hiranagar, Ramgarh and Arnia and took stock of situation arisen due to Pakistani shelling.
Mr Kundal, NPP general secretary, accompanied by other party leaders during extensive tour of this border belt and reviewed the situation. The MLA claimed that a large number of people have started migration to the safer places and many of them have sent their children to their relatives residing in the safer areas. He pointed out that many people have been forced to leave their homes. Many families are without shelter and Government has failed to make arrangements for their safe stay away from border areas.
Meanwhile, NPP chief patron Prof Bhim Singh has conveyed the Union Home Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde about the actual ground situation along the border/ LoC in Jammu and Kashmir and stressed for making immediate arrangements for the safe stay of the villagers. He told that villagers were passing sleepless nights and many of them have been facing bullets. Moreover, State Administration has also failed to make necessary arrangements.
He pointed out that persons living close to the border are facing severe difficulties and need special attention from the Union Government as it was prime responsibility of the Union Government to protect the citizens. He also demanded adequate compensation for the damage being caused to their crop and houses in view of mounting tension along the IB and LoC.
