JAMMU, Oct 24: The Jammu University has conceded the long pending demand of the students of the B Ed course who study in the private colleges affiliated to the University of Jammu for making the examinations papers bilingual i.e Hindi and English.
Acting on the instruction of Vice-Chancellor Prof M P S Ishar, the Controller Examination Prof Keshav Sharma introduced the new system of bilingual papers today with the commencement of the B Ed annual examinations 2012-13.
It may be mentioned that the BEd annual examination 2012-13 started today wherein around 25000 students belonging to the different Northern States are appearing. The BEd students were earlier facing problems with regard to the examination papers being printed only in the English language.
The University has taken this decision in its attempt to reform the examination system for the BEd Course wherein a large number of students who have Hindi as medium of instruction at the undergraduate level, appear in this exam.
