SRINAGAR, June 15: The Employees Joint Action Committee (EJAC) headed by Ram Kumar Sharma is meeting here on June 19 to chalk out future course of action.
In a statement, a spokesman of EJAC-R said that the Government is un-necessarily delaying the regularization of daily wagers working on daily wage basis for the last 18 years or so. The spokesman said that the State Government had committed that it would fulfill the demands of the regular employees as well but this has not been done.
“The repressive measures adopted by the State Government in crushing the employees’ demands would not yield any results. We would raise our demands vociferously so that the Government budges from its rigid stand. The supreme council would meet on June 19 and hammer out the fresh programme. The meeting would be presided over by Ram Kumar Sharma and it would be attended by important office bearers,” said the spokesman.
