JAMMU, Dec 24: Station Director (SD) Jammu Uchit Singhal today visited Bari Brahamana Railway Terminal and reviewed minor pending works.
The SD Jammu also witnessed handling of 2 freight frakes in parallel together by Bari Brahamana Freight Terminal, first time after its remodelling few months back. Singhal said Bari Brahamana Terminal is truly serving the purpose of an alternate goods terminal to Jammu Tawi.
He said Jammu goods shed was de-notified 2 days back in view of planned station yard remodelling and redevelopment project. Bari Brahmana Station was remodelled recently having multiple rake handling lines, he added.
Later, Uchit Singhal interacted with truck unions, handlers and the labour at Bari Brahmana Station for their feedbacks and suggestions with respect to the new goodshed. The progress of other minor pending works viz. merchant room and labour shed was also assessed by the SD.
