JAMMU, Oct 24: Counsel General of Italy Cesare Bieller and Balwant Thakur, Regional Director of Indian Council for Cultural Relations, Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India held a meeting and discussed the suitability of having joint performances by the artists of Italy and Jammu in Jammu and vice-versa in the cities of Italy.
They visited Amar Mahal Museum and Mubarak Mandi Complex to find out the possible venue of the cultural performances by the artists of Italy in Jammu.
Briefing about the interaction with the Counsel General of Italy, Balwant Thakur informed that his organization is mandated to bring nations together through the cultural initiatives and such occasions are vital and always welcome to have a closer understanding of India with that of Italy.
Through such cultural initiatives and exchanges the people of both the countries get the opportunity to know their respective cultures much closely and earn to appreciate them.
