19 bovines rescued, smuggler arrested

JAMMU, Oct 24: Trikuta Nagar police today rescued 19 bovine animals and arrested a smuggler.
A police spokesman said that, on specific inputs, police party from Trikuta Nagar Police Station led by SHO Chanchal Singh and Incharge PP Narwal SI Manoj under the supervision of SDPO S S Sambyal laid a naka and intercepted a truck bearing registration number JK02AH-5977.
During checking, police rescued 19 bovine animals, he said, adding that smugglers identified as Shehzad, son of Abdul Rashid, resident of Tafyala, Panj Gran, district Rajouri.
A case under FIR number 222/13 and under Section 188 RPC and 3 PCA Act has been registered at Police Station Trikuta Nagar and investigation started.
