JAMMU, Dec 25: In connection with celebration of Nirvan Diwas of Swami Shiv Ram Ji Koul, Jalali founder Mahant of Umanagri (Brariangan) a Hawan was solemnized by Uma Bhagwati Asthapan Trust at Sharda Peeth Bantalab near here, today under the presidentship of Girdhari Lal Pandit.
A large number of devotees thronged the Sharda Peeth to take part in the religious function and pay obeisance to the great saint.
The Havan started with Kalash Poojan yesterday evening and culminated with Puran Ahooti today followed by Prashad Vitran.
The Bhajan Kirtan was held since yesterday evening and the scholars threw light on the life of the great saint as well as the religious significance of famous shrine of Uma Nagri.
P N Koul, vice president of the Trust gave religious discourses and also highlighted the objectives of the Trust.
