UDHAMPUR, Dec 25: A free health camp was organised by Kotli Colony Welfare Trust at Panchayat Debgrah in district Udhampur, here today.
In the camp, eye and general checkup was conducted for senior citizens, old age BPL families, economically weaker families as well as for general families of Panchayat Debgrah Udhampur. Free of cost medicines, like Iron, multi-vitamin and anti-allergic tablets, eye drops etc were provided to the villagers.
Around 400 people were benefitted in the said camp and 10 patients, who were diagnosed for cataract, will be provided free of cost surgery. KCWT will bear all the expenditures for cataract surgery, said Chairman KCWT Chandan Datta.
Prominent among those who extended their help in organizing the camp, included Secretary JMC Parvinder Kour, DDC Chairman Lal Chand, Sarpanch Yashpal Sharma, Chief Medical Officer Udhampur Vijay Basnotra, Dr Kirandeep Kour, Balwinder (Panchayat Secretary) and others.
