SSB aspirants demand strict punishment to those involved in recruitment scams

JAMMU, Dec 26: Aspirants for various posts advertized by the Jammu Kashmir Service Selection Board (JKSSB) have demanded enactment of strict law for punishment to those involved in paper leak and other such frauds.
While addressing a press conference, here today, these aspirants raised a question mark on alleged soft peddling by the Union Territory Government on paper leak and recruitment scams.
“Corruption is eroding trust of youth over the LG administration as scam after scam are surfacing in the recruitment process,” said Kartik Bhagat, one of the aspirants.
He lamented that no action was being taken to debar the candidates found involved in paper leak with the result these scammers were again appearing in the exams.
He also accused the opposition parties for not raising the issue effectively but only demanding elections in Jammu and Kashmir so that they may come to power.
Another aspirant Vinkal Sharma demanded that no private agency should be hired for conducting the recruitment exams and the entire process should be solely handled by the JKSSB.
“JKSSB should be asked to conduct the recruitment exams by itself using Government Press and other human resources of UT Government so that accountability can be fixed,” he explained.
