Tawi Movement seeks more participation of people

JAMMU, Dec 26: BJP organizing secretary Ashok Koul has asked people to come forward and work for rejuvenating pristine glory of Tawi river.
While addressing in a function on Tawi bank, organized by Tawi Movement, headed by senior BJP leader Chander Mohan Sharma, he commended the sustained efforts of the latter to rejuvenate and revive the pristine glory of Surajputri Tawi and other water bodies in Jammu.
On the occasion, rich tribute were paid to Bharat Rattan Atal Bihari Vajpayee and Madan Mohan Malviya through Bhajan Shradanjali. The programme was organized under the chairmanship of Sant Baba DevDass. Ashok Koul was chief guest on the occasion.
Chander Mohan Sharma, who is founder head of Tawi Movement, highlighted activities of the organization and appealed people to join the movement for cause of Jammu.
He also recalled his remarkable personal acquaintances with late Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee and described him as lover and promoter of Dogri languages.
Others who were present on the occasion, included Surinder Sharma Corporator, Balvinder Singh Bhatia, Rajeev Charak, Vikrant Dogra, Ashwani Jojra, Veenabaxi Rajkumar Gupta, Sanjeev Dubey, Abhiudat Koushal and Kanav Sharma.
Melodious devotional songs were presented on the occasion by Sunita Kundal, Sahil Kundal, Neelam Mahajan, Satpal Raina, Dr Vijaya Thakur and Dr Nimal Kak.
The programme culminated with Tawi Sandya Aarti.
