JAMMU, Dec 26: Shri Ram Ji Mandir Thakurdwara Management Committee, Shopian today resolved to oppose any move to convert this temple complex to commercial activity.
An emergency meeting of Management Committee of the Temple was held today where in the members took strong exception to the move of some people/individuals to convert Shri Ram Ji Temple Thakurdwara, Shopian into commercial entity.
The members after holding discussion, passed a resolution stating that nobody will be allowed to convert this temple premises for carrying out any commercial or any other activity other than, construction of Shri Ram Ji Temple and Dharamshalla, purely for the purpose of religious activities.
It was urged upon the administration by the Krishan Chand, president and general secretary Hakikat Singh to take into confidence/ consult the management committee of the temple for any decision regarding any development/ construction activity.
