Venugopal, Patil, other Cong leaders meet Sinha; discuss Rahul’s ‘BJY’

JAMMU, Dec 26: AICC general secretary Incharge Organisation, KC Venugopal (MP) and AICC Incharge J&K affairs, Rajni Patil – MP arrived here today afternoon and straightway went to Raj Bhavan to meet Lt Governor Manoj Sinha to discuss the upcoming `Bharat Jodo Yatra’ led by AICC vice president, Rahul Gandhi.
KB Byju, Security Advisor to Rahul Gandhi accompanied them. They were joined here by JKPCC president, Vikar Rasool Wani, AICC joint secretary Manoj Yadav, GA Mir, Tariq Hameed Karra and Raman Bhalla during the meeting with the Lt Governor.
After meeting with the Lt Governor, they left for Srinagar by road, as their flight from Delhi was delayed by around four hours. Their scheduled meeting with LG, too was delayed by about one hour.
The meeting with the LG was in connection with the upcoming `Bharat Jodo Yatra’ led by Rahul Gandhi in the third week of January. The meeting lasted over half an hour.
Earlier, the AICC leaders were received at the airport by JKPCC president Vikar Rasool Wani, joint secretary AICC Manoj Yadav, working president Raman Bhalla, former minister Yogesh Sawhney, NSUI National president Neeraj Kundan, Ravinder Sharma, Th Balbir Singh, Th Hari Singh Chib, Shah Nawaj Chuadhary, PYC president Udey Chib, IYC spokesperson Iftikhar Ahmed, IYC secretary Ch Aiyaz, Bilal Rasheed, Sonu Dogra, Arti Gupta & others.
The AICC leaders had to skip the preparatory meeting of prominent leaders at Hotel Reddisson because of delayed arrival and they straightway went for an already scheduled meeting with the LG.
They were accorded rousing reception outside airport by the Congress workers led by Pranab Shagotra, Pawan Raina, Karan Bhagat, Rajveer Singh and others.
