CISF chief urges trainees to discharge duties with honesty

HYDERABAD, Oct 25: The Central Industrial Security Force Director-General called upon trainee officers today to discharge their duties with honesty.

“You will be assigned responsibility to provide security to important installations and also some VIPs. Hence any compromise on security can never be tolerated,” he said.

Speaking after reviewing the passing-out parade of the 27th batch of CISF trainees at the National Industrial Security Academy (NISA) on the outskirts of the city here, the CISF chief said that trainee officers are expected to perform their duties with responsibility and honesty.

“Some elements are trying to create unrest in the society and country. We need to be alert to such threats and constantly upgrade our skills,” he said, adding that CIDF guards 309 installations including space stations, airports and power plants, besides also being deployed in Maoist zones.

He called upon the trainees to prepare themselves to effectively meet emerging challenges posed by new forms of terrorism and stressed upon the growing role of CISF in securing critical infrastructure like airports, metro train stations, space and atomic installations, especially in Maoist zones.  (PTI)
