JAMMU, Dec 27: To further strengthen the Party at the grassroot, Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) chief and former Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti today appointed Sukhvinder Singh as additional general secretary of the Party.
Mehbooba Mufti, who was in Jammu, made the appointment of Sukhvinder Singh as additional general secretary of the Party, in the presence of senior vice president Haji Abdul Hamid Choudhary, A S Reen, Rashid Malik, Harmesh Singh Salathia, Rajinder Manhas, Satpal Singh Charak and Sunil Bhat.
While appointing Sukhvinder Singh as the additional general secretary, Mehbooba hoped that he will work with more energy and dedication to further expand the Party in the rural areas of Jammu province.
Sukhvinder Singh, a veteran trade union leader is one of the founder members of the PDP. He was associated with late Mufti Mohammad Sayeed from the days of Janta Dal. Presently, he is the treasure of PDP.
