JAMMU, Dec 27: Aam Aadmi Party today held Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor administration responsible for exposing AAP leaders to risk by not providing them security cover even after multiple requests made by party leadership to provide adequate security to its leaders.
Addressing a press conference, here today, AAP State spokesperson and chairman of Media Coordination Committee, Dr Nawab Nasir said that Aam Aadmi Party is now a national party having its Government in two States and presence of the cadre in every district, block and village of Jammu and Kashmir where a large number of people are joining the organization with each passing day.
” Despite all this, Jammu and Kashmir LG administration exposing Aam Aadmi Party leaders to grave risk by depriving them of necessary security cover even after political leaders of other political parties and even a small worker is having security and PSOs,” he said.
Nawab alleged that Jammu and Kashmir Government has always ignored AAP but ignorance on security grounds is not less than a blunder due to which life of party leaders has been put on risk. He further said that multiple request have been placed before LG administration for providing security cover to party leaders and these requests are on record with letters written to LG administration but there is no response from administration and this ignorance of Government on security grounds is to such an extent that security cover is not even provided in party functions where a large number of gathering is seen which shows that Government is hell bent to expose Aam Aadmi Party cadre to those forces which are against political activities in J&K.
“Having a vast public support in Jammu Kashmir, AAP is the only political party playing the role of opposition due to which the public movement and meetings of party leaders remain on higher side making it much important for proper security cover and J&K Government should pay concern in this matter so that life of every political leader of party remains secure,” Dr Nawab said and asked LG administration to shun step motherly treatment with AAP cadre and provide equal opportunities to all on political grounds.
