Official sources said firing from Pakistan side stopped at 9 pm last night.
Indian side has called for a flag meeting with Pakistan Army tomorrow to lodge strong protest over unprovoked firing and ceasefire violation for two consecutive days leading to death of one Army jawan and injuries to three others in Nangi Tekri area of Krishna Ghati sector in Poonch district.
Meanwhile, due to firing, authorities in PoK refused to open gates at Chakan-Da-Bagh for second day today to allow entry of trucks for cross-LoC trade on Poonch-Rawlakote route.
Cross-LoC Traders Association president, Pawan Anand said the traders from this side sent trucks for Rawlakote yesterday as well as today but PoK authorities didn’t open the gates.
He said the traders have suffered heavy losses due to refusal of PoK authorities to open gates as many trucks were carrying bananas.
