SIU conducts raids in Shopian, Pulwama

Srinagar, Dec 28: Special Investigation Unit of Police conducted multiple raids in South Kashmir’s Shopian and Pulwama districts today in a militancy related case.
Police said that continuing efforts to dismantle the militancy ecosystem, the State Investigation Unit ( SIU) Shopian today conducted raids and carried out searches at various locations in Shopian and Pulwama districts in connection with investigation of militancy related FIR.
In district Shopian, sleuths of SIU Shopian conducted raids and searches at two suspected locations at Zainapora and in district Pulwama, raids and subsequent searches were carried out at suspected location in Naina Batapora village.
The spokesman further said that during search, sleuths of SIU collected and seized incriminating material and important documents including digital devices.
He said the raids were conducted in connection with investigation of case (FIR No 83/2022) registered in Police Station Kellar. “Two accused arrested in the instant case are presently under judicial custody. More recoveries and arrests are expected during further investigation,” read the statement.
