41st Jawahar Lal Nehru Science Exhibition inaugurated

JAMMU, Oct 25: KVS 41st Jawahar Lal Nehru National Science exhibition at Sub-Regional Level was inaugurated today at K V No 2 Jammu Cantt, under the supervision of Principal M Laxmi Narayana.
A S Gill, Assistant Commissioner Jammu Region was chief guest on the occasion.
Expert educationists from Jammu University and some colleges were the jury members.
Prof K K Bonzai and Prof Rocky Gupta from Department of Physics and Electronics respectively, Dr Sunil Gupta and Dr J L Sharma from Department of Mathematics, GGM Science College, Dr Sushil Kumar Sharma and Dr Rajeev Bharat Sangra, Associate  Prof  SKUAST and Dr Revika Arora, Asstt. Prof GDC Gandhi Nagar Jammu were the judges.
After lighting of the lamp, followed by the welcome song and formal welcome by the Venue Principal, A S Gill, the Assistant Commissioner highlighted the importance of such platforms to develop scientific thinking among the young students.
Then the chief guest and the judges were escorted by the Principal, Vice Principal and Teachers to judge the exhibits displayed by 115 students from 20 schools of Jammu , Nagrota  and Udhampur region.
The exhibits were on the themes of Agriculture, Energy, Health, Environment & Resources.
It was followed by interactive seminars on Mathematics.
The programme culminated with the MCQ test.
