Another jolt to DAP, Paray quits party

JAMMU, Dec 29: In yet another jolt to Democratic Azad Party (DAP) Advocate Mohammad Muzaffar Paray former senior vice president JKPCC and ex MLC has resigned from the basic membership of Democratic Azad Party (DAP) and its Working Committee.
In a statement issued here, today he said that his induction in DAP was made without his consent and he has been associated with Congress party right from 1975. “The Congress has fielded me as Parliamentary candidate from Baramulla -Kupwara Parliamentary constituency and former PM Indira Gandhi and other senior leaders of party had campaigned for him.
He further said “I have been three times State vice president and one time senior vice president, of the party besides Chairman TAC Sopore so my conscience does not allow me to betray Congress party at this crucial juncture”.
