JTC, SKF delegation calls on Additional Div Comm

JAMMU, Dec 30: A delegation of Jagti Tenement Committee (JTC) and Soan Kashmir Front (SKF) led by its president, Shadi Lal Pandita called on the Additional Divisional Commissioner, Jammu here, today.
The delegation gave a memorandum to the Additional Divisional Commissioner and appealed him to solve the long standing demands of Kashmiri Pandits as soon as possible.
Earlier the delegation had met the Divisional Commissioner and informed about the plight of Kashmiri Pandits in general and relief holders in particular who had asked it to submit the memorandum which the Committee has given today to Additional Divisional Commissioner.
The memorandum demanded enhancement of monthly cash relief from Rs 13,000 to 25,000 per family in view of the present inflation, providing of basic facilities at Jagti township and other migrant camps, launching of employment drive to provide jobs to unemployed youth of the community by creating 20,000 jobs for KP youth and launching of on spot recruitment drive in J&K police for KP youth.
The memorandum further demanded relocation of package employees and release of their salaries in view of targeted killings in Kashmir, construction of three Satellite townships with Valley in erstwhile districts of Srinagar, Anantnag and Baramulla for rehabilitation of displaced Pandits as the community craves for return to Valley, removal of encroachments from religious places and migrants land in Valley, compensation for 33 years loss suffered by business community, agriculturists and orchardists of the community.
