Ghazal illuminates final day of Music Festival

JAMMU, Dec 30: J&K Academy of Art, Culture and Languages (JKAACL) here today under the guidance of Bharat Singh, Secretary Academy, successfully organised final day programmes of the four-day Music Festival.
Over 75 artists from across the region performed in the musical extravaganza and final day of the festival witnessed light music.
Khalid Hussain, former Deputy Commissioner; Aslam Kureshi, former Deputy Commissioner; Prof. D.S Manhas, GGM Science College; Khursheed Qazmi, prolific writer and Vijay Luxmi, former Principal of Government Women College Parade were also present on the occasion.
The event began with Ghazal performances by Neelam Langeh and Subhash Langeh, eminent singers of the region.
Vishakha Bhardwaj, the young music sensation mesmerized the audience with her melodic voice.
Jeevan Sharma, a celebrated music performer, with his scintillating performance, captured the audience’s attention.
The gathering was spellbound by Ghazals by Dharmesh Nargotra, prominent Ghazal singer.
These artists were equally supported by Neeraj Verma (Tabla), Vijay Anand (Dholak), Rakesh Anand (Flute), Krishan Kumar (Synth) and Sanjay Kumar (Guitar). Mitali Gupta conducted proceedings.
Dr. Shahnawaz, Editor cum Cultural Officer (Gojri) delivered vote of thanks.
