JAMMU, Dec 30: Besides, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), political parties cutting across their ideologies have expressed their profound grief and shock over the demise of Heeraben Modi, mother of Prime Minister, Narendra Modi who breathed her last early this morning at Ahmedabad Gujarat.

The Jammu and Kashmir National Conference (JKNC) president and MP from Srinagar, Dr. Farooq Abdullah and vice president, Omar Abdullah have expressed deepest condolences with Prime Minister, Narendra Modi on the demise of his mother.
In his condolence message, Dr. Farooq Abdullah said, “I’m extremely pained to hear about the demise of Modi Ji’s beloved mother. The death of a mother is one of the painful moments one can experience in life. I stand with Prime Minister, Modi and his family in this hour of grief, may they get the strength to handle the situation. I pray for eternal peace to the departed soul.”
In his condolence message, Omar Abdullah said, “I’m extremely saddened by the demise of the revered mother of Prime Minister, Narendra Modi Ji. My deepest condolences to him and his entire family on their bereavement. Nothing can fill the void created by the loss of one’s mother. May fond memories of the deceased bring comfort to the entire bereaved family during this hard time.”
Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Jammu & Kashmir led by its senior leaders paid floral tributes to Heeraben Modi, mother of Prime Minister, Narendra Modi here at party Headquarter, Trikuta Nagar, today.
J&K BJP president, Ravinder Raina accompanied by J&K BJP general secretary (Org.), Ashok Koul, BJP national secretary, Dr. Narinder Singh, MP (Lok Sabha), Jugal Kishore Sharma, former State president, Shamsher Singh Manhas, MP (Rajya Sabha), Ghulam Ali Khatana, former president and former Dy. CM, Dr. Nirmal Singh, former Dy. CM, Kavinder Gupta, former president, Ashok Khajuria, former State president, Sat Sharma, BJP vice-president, Surjit Singh Salathia, BJP vice-president, Sham Lal Sharma and other senior party leaders spoke on the occasion paying tributes to her.
Ravinder Raina, while paying tributes, said that as soon as the news of ill health of PM’s mother poured in, the whole nation was praying for her health. He remembered the moment when the Prime Minister talked about the hardships faced by PM’s mother to meet the needs of the family. He said that the mother of the PM imbibed the family with necessary values, principles and ethics. Such was the influence of her teachings that her one son, PM Modi is today guiding the whole world with his conscience and decisions.
Ashok Koul, while paying tributes to the mother of PM, Heeraben, said that she quietly left for the heavenly abode early this morning. He attributed the great works of PM Modi to her mother like providing Izzatghar, Ujjwala Yojana and other such schemes for upgrading the life of uncountable women of this nation. He said that the Prime Minister performed the last rites of his mother with simplicity while returning for his duties towards the nation. “We all bow in the feet of such a great mother and pray to Almighty to provide her with Moksha”.
Bharatiya Janata Party, Jammu and Kashmir, Mahila Morcha president, Sanjita Dogra along with her team paid floral tribute to ‘Heeraben’, mother of Prime Minister, Narendra Modi at BJP district office, Karachi Chawni.
Former Deputy CM, Kavinder Gupta also paid glowing tribute to PM’s mother Hiraben Modi. While terming it an irreparable loss to the family, Kavinder prayed for eternal peace to departed soul. He termed her a great and courageous lady who was mentor and guide of her children including Narendra Modi who rose to level of PM with her inspiration and guidance.
BJP Kashmir displaced district also held a condolence meeting under the leadership of its president Chand Ji Bhat in which glowing tribute were paid to Hiraben Modi. Those who paid tributes included BJP spokesman, and Ex MLC, G L Raina, co-convener BJP Kashmir , Hira Lal Bhat, general secretaries, H L Razdan and Moti Lal Bhat, Shuban Ji and others.
Dogra Brahman Pratinidhi Sabha held a condolence meeting today under the chairmanship of Sabha president, Ved Parkash Sharma in which homage was paid to Heeraben Modi mother of PM, Narendra Modi. Those present in the meeting included Pt V M Magotra, N C Sharma, M L Sharma, Som Nath Sharma, Satya Nand Sharma, P C Sharma, Chander Mohan Sharma and others.
Jammu and Kashmir National Panthers Party (JKNPP) under the chairmanship of its president, Vilakshan Singh held a condolence meeting to mourn the demise of PM’s mother and offered condolences to the family.
Former Minister and Ex MLA, Hakim Mohammed Yasin has also condoled the demise of PM’s mother and expressed his deepest sympathy with the bereaved family.
Kashmir Pandit Sabha (KPS), president, K K Khosa and Kashmiri Pandit Conference (KPC), president, Kundan Kashmiri also paid homage to Heeraba Modi- the mother of PM Modi and expressed their deepest sympathies with the bereaved family.
