NDS celebrates its Foundation Day by organizing poetic meet

JAMMU, Dec 30: On the eve of its 25th Foundation Day, Nami Dogri Sanstha (NDS) organised a multilingual poetic meet.
Dr Sushil Kumar Bhola a known Hindi as well as Dogri poet and writer presided over the meet in which 16 poets from different lanuages recited their poetic work, mostly covering devotional , social , romantic , environmental and spiritual dimensions .
The meet started with the recital of Dogri Shiv Bhajan by Capt Lalit Sharma, “Krishan Murari Tai Shiv Tripurari – Do Roop Ik Shakti De Janhitkari” .
Sushil Bhola presented his Dogri poem “Ayo Rali Mili Ik Nama Safa Ajj Likhche” covering various aspect of family depicting conflicts and bondage he drew parallels with the nation as a larger family.
Balwan Singh Jamwal’s poem appreciated the emotions and sacrifices of an Indian women. Yogacharya Dr S K Jain read his applaudable Hindi poem, “Dukh-Sukh”. Kusam Sharma “Antra” presented her Urdu Ghazal. Amarjeet Kaur “Neer” read her Punjabi Ghazal. Another Dogri poem by Madan Magotra was on mother tongue Dogri while Sunaina Kaila Anand read , “Mithi Mithi Matee Piari Iss Duggar Di Boli”.
Shambu Ram Pyasa, Abdul Qadir Kundria, Sudershan Kumari Darshi, Arun Sharma Banathia and Tarsem Mahajan also presented their works.
Yash Pal Yash, General Secretary NDS, conducted proceedings in an orderly manner. He critically evaluated each and every poetic item read in the meet and offered his comments as well. Advocate Dogra Harish Kaila, President NDS, planned and supervised the “e-Literary Meet”.
Dr Sushil Bhola, in his presidential remarks, appealed NDS to lay more focuss to ensure that our new generation is attracted to their mother tongue Dogri so as to motivate and empower them to progress and rise keeping their identity intact.
