JAMMU, Dec 31: Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) announced Dr Rajesh Sharma, Chairman Skipper Overseas Pvt Ltd and S R A Food & Beverages Pvt Ltd as its Chairman for Jammu & Kashmir State Council.
Dr Rajesh has over two decades of expertise in areas of FMCG, warehousing and logistics, and brand development. Prior to being conferred with the role of Chairman, FICCI, J&K, he was heading the State Council as Co-Chairman along-with Irfan Ahmad Guju.
During his stint as the Co-Chairman, he has submitted a roadmap to Lieutenant Governor, J&K, highlighting several measures for the promotion of economic activities in Jammu & Kashmir, including formulation of One District One Product (ODOP) scheme, organizing physical and virtual fairs on FICCI platform, conducting design intervention workshops for entrepreneurs.
Dr Rajesh has also been a former State Chairman of Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), J&K for the year 2019-20. He was recently awarded with Honorary Doctorate by French University, Ecole Supérieure Robert de Sorbon.
