RAJOUR, Jan 1: District Police Rajouri detained another notorious criminal as well as drug peddler under Public Safety Act and sent him to Kot Bhalwal Jail.
The accused, identified as Mohd Shakoor son of Mohd Bashir, resident of Dhanidhar, Tehsil and District Rajouri, was involved in nine different NDPS/criminal cases registered at different Police Station over the past couple of years.
Despite repeated FIRs and arrests, the accused continued to carry out criminal/anti-social activities. He had adopted the illicit trade of narcotic drugs as a profession and was posing serious threat to the lives of young generation of the District its adjoining areas.
He is the fifth person who has detained by District Police Rajouri in a row. The detention warrant was meticulously executed by Inspr Fareed Ahmed (SHO PS Rajouri) and his team under the supervision of Chanchal Singh, DySP Hqrs Rajouri and overall supervision of SSP Rajouri Mohd Aslam.
