Three-day plenary session of Congress from Feb 24

NEW DELHI, Jan 2:
The Congress on Monday announced that its 85th plenary session will begin from February 24 in Chhattisgarh’s Raipur.
Addressing a press conference at the party headquarters here, Congress general secretary in-charge Organisation KC Venugopal said, “The 85th Plenary session of INC will begin on February 24 and conclude on February 26 in Chhattisgarh’s Raipur.”
He also informed that in the three-day plenary session discussion will be held on six major issues including, political, economic and international affairs.
“There will be six major subjects that will be debated and discussed. These are political, economic, international affairs, farmers and agriculture, social justice and empowerment, youth, education and employment ,” Venugopal said.
Last month, the Congress had announced to hold its 85th plenary session in Raipur. However, the party did not disclose the date.
The decision was taken at the maiden meeting of the Congress Steering Committee, held under the chairmanship of newly elected party president Mallikarjun Kharge. (UNI)
