The protestors who were supported by leaders of various KP and political parties said that the yesterday’s attack in Dhangri village of Rajouri district is an eye opener for the Government.
The protesting employees said that Kashmiri Pandits have since alarmed the Government about these attacks but they always ignored it and turned a blind eye to same with the result the terrorists and their over ground supporters are gaining ground to make minorities their safe target.
Maintaining that the yesterday’s episode is the part of Pakistan and terrorists game plan of ethnic cleansing they alleged the Government was closing its eyes to all militant killings. They said the Government should take this issue seriously as the J&K has been grappling with terrorism for last 33 years and how long will it go. The Government should not make Package employees or other minorities as scapegoats and take a quick decision on their relocation outside Valley.
The protesting employees and leaders of political and KP organizations while talking to media persons expressed their dismay over stopping of salaries to the package employees saying that their families are facing many hardships due to the same.
It is totally inhuman to stop the salaries of package employees and coercing them to join duties in Valley and expose them to militants’ threats. They said the employees are totally scared as they are facing the threat letters by name on daily basis from The Resistance Front (TRF) and till date the Government has failed to expose those outfits responsible for issuing the threat warnings to these employees.
The protestors said that knowing fully that the package employee, as well as reserved category employees are the target of militants, the Government instead of taking measures for their security and safety has been coercing them to work in a hostile environment in Valley and putting them into jaws of death.
They demanded immediate relocation of Package employees to Jammu and release of their salaries.
