Anila Charak conferred with Bharat Rattan Atal Samman

JAMMU, Jan 3: Anila Singh Charak has been conferred with the Bharat Rattan Atal Samman on the eve of birth anniversary of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, in Lucknow.
As per a press statement, she has been awarded for her contribution in the field of literature, arts, and sports. Charak has worked as Principal, Department of Atomic Energy, Bhabha Research Centre in Mumbai and is also the recipient of Homi Bhabha Award as best principal in India.
The award programme participated by prominent poets and writers of India and other countries was organised by Patrakaar Sangathan of Lucknow. Anila Singh Charak also recited a poem and enthralled the audience by her poetry which was widely appreciated by the gathering.
The press statement further said the former Chief Minister Dinesh Sharma, who was the chief guest on the occasion, said that literature is the mirror of the society and whatever anomalies persist in the society are reflected in the writings of the writers of India.
He congratulated Anila and other writers for their performances.
