Drug peddler arrested 100 grams of heroin seized

SAMBA; Jan 4: Continuing its drive against the menace of drugs,
District Police Samba under the overall supervision of SSP, Dr. Abhishek Mahajan, has arrested a drug peddler in the jurisdiction of Police Station (PS) Vijaypur and recovered approximately 100 grams of heroin from his possession.
During patrolling in the area, a naka was established by Additional SP Samba, Surinder Choudhary assisted by SDPO Vijaypur, Priyanka Kumari and SHO PS Vijaypur Inspector, Tribhuvan Khajuria at Vijaypur Chowk and during naka they intercepted one person moving under suspicious circumstances.
During his frisking, about 100 grams of heroin was recovered from his possession.
The accused person identified as Mohammad Ali alias Mandhu, son of Kaau R/o Ladwal, Rajbagh at present Marheen, Kathua has been arrested on the spot and contraband item was also seized.
In this regard a case FIR No. 04/2023 U/S 8/21/22 NDPS Act has been registered at PS Vijaypur and investigation started.
