Jammu, Jan 4: Jammu and Kashmir Police in Jammu district claimed today that they have arrested a drug peddler and recovered 10 grams of heroin from his possession.
A police spokesperson said that a team of Police Station Kanachack signalled a vehicle for checking.
“During search of the vehicle, 10 grams of heroin was recovered,” he said.
Later, he said, the accused identified as Barkat Ali alias Chama was booked in case FIR number 02/2023 registered under sections 8/21/22 of the NDPS Act at Police Station Kanachack.
“While the accused has been arrested further investigations have been taken up,” said the police spokesperson.
