JAMMU, Jan 5: A 30-year-old man of Ustad Mohalla (Jammu) died today after consuming some poisonous substance.
“In the wee hours of today, Aftab Khan son of Zaffar Khan, resident of House Number 158 (Ustad Mohalla, Jammu), was found in unconscious condition at Kachi Chawani area by some passersby who shifted him to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) Jammu, where he passed away around 4:30 AM,” Police sources said.
They said after getting conducted postmortem, the body of the deceased was handed over to his family for last rites while Pacca Danga Police had initiated inquest proceedings to ascertain the cause of death. However, sources disclosed that prima facie it had come to fore that the man died after consuming some poisonous substance.
