4 boys, girl arrested for ‘undesirable activities’

Jammu, Oct 27: Channi Himmat police last midnight arrested three boys and a girl for indulging in “undesirable activities”.
On a tip off, police parties rushed to Channi Himmat around 1 am and took all four into custody and shifted them to Channi Himmat police station.
They have been identified as Vasu Sharma son of Rakesh Kumar Sharma and grandson of a veteran Congress leader, a resident of Gandhi Nagar, Gurvijay Singh son of Gurjit Singh, owner of a newspaper and petrol pump, a resident of Gandhi Nagar, Bhanu Partap son of Kishori Bhanu of Channi Himmat and Divya Manhas daughter of Krishan Singh Manhas, a resident of Trikuta Nagar.
Police sources said they were indulging in “undesirable activities” at Channi Himmat in the middle of night when local people spotted them and raised an alarm. Locals called the police, which arrested them and sent them to Channi Himmat police station.
A case was registered against all of them under Section 55/109 CrPC for further investigations.
The girl was taken for medical examination in the hospital.
Police said all four accused were quizzed and their statements recorded. Further investigations were in progress.
