JAMMU, Jan 5; Deputy Mayor Jammu, Baldev Singh Billawaria dedicated a newly constructed lane and drain at Ward 56 Gangyal in Jammu South-RS Pura constituency near here, today.
This work was executed under the supervision of Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC). Speaking on the occasion, the Deputy Mayor, Jammu, Baldev Singh Billawaria said that during an interaction with locals, it was found that the area was ignored for many years in the sphere of development. Deputy Mayor, said that it was the long pending demand of the locals as the drains in the area were in dilapidated condition for a long time and the residents were facing lot of problems while walking through these lanes.
Billawaria said that Government has made neglected areas its priority in development. Deputy Mayor, said that development is the priority of the Government so that the last man in the last queue is benefitted. He asked the people of Jammu to cooperate with JMC to make the city clean and green. Deputy Mayor, also listened to the demands of the people of the area and assured the general public that the Gangyal area was committed to addressing the issues that they raised. The locals praised and complimented him for listening to their demands and taking quick action against them. Mandal president Ranjeet Singh, Mulkh Raj, Ram Lal Bali, Gurmukh Singh, Darbari Lal, Balwan Singh and others were also present.
