JAMMU, Jan 5: Provincial president of National Conference (NC) Rattan Lal Sharma has asserted that Jammu and Kashmir which is running the proxy government of BJP here in this sensitive region has crossed all the limits of arbitrariness and denying the people of their rights guaranteed under the Constitution.
Sharma stated this while strongly condemning the brutal lathi charge by police on the peacefully protesting Rehbar-e-Khel employees the other day. He asserted that instead of addressing people’s issues it is muzzling their voices.
The senior NC leader said that the adamant and arbitrary attitude of the J&K Administration clearly shows that it has totally failed on all fronts. He said that it is an irony of the people of J&K that nobody heeds to their genuine concerns. He said that youth, employees and all others aggrieved by the policies of the Government are out on roads clamouring for their genuine rights and entitlements.
He said that the incumbent bureaucratic government has thrown all the democratic norms to winds and needs to be replaced by a duly elected representative government by holding Assembly elections at the earliest.
