Appoint Chairman to Fee Regulatory Committee: PRS

JAMMU, Jan 5: J&K People’s Revolutionary Society (PRS) in a meeting here, today under the leadership of its chairman Mir Ghulam Rasool has demanded immediate appointment of Chairman Fee Fixation and Regulatory Committee J&K.
The Society in a meeting here, today which was also attended by its secretary, D N Sadhu, Comrade Baldev Raj president Jammu, Sheikh Ghulam Mohi-ud-Din Shilwati its general secretary, P N Raina, Ghulam Nabi Prangi and Mohammed Sultan Mir said the post of chairman is vacant since November last year after the term of its outgoing chairman, Justice Muzafar Husain Attar ended.
The meeting put on record the services rendered by out going chairman who gave teeth to the Fee Regulatory Committee and made it a body to reckon with.
The meeting demanded that the Committee is at present headless and as per the statue the term of Chairman is three years hence the outgoing incumbent be allowed to complete his term by re-appointing him in the larger interests of the students to maintain a check on the monopoly by some private education institutions.
They said that at present parents of students are facing problems in filing their complaints before the Committee which is headless.
